John Reilly

John M.C. Reilly rejoined Law + Brandmeyer in May 2024, as a partner.  Previously, he was a partner for at a national firm specializing in general litigation.  John previously worked at several medical malpractice defense firms, representing doctors and hospitals in medical negligence and elder abuse cases.  From 2008 to 2012, John got out of private practice and was a court-appointed counsel at the Edelman Children’s Court in Monterey Park, where he represented parents and legal guardians of lower income families and assisted with family reunifications.  While there, he did dozens of bench trials and many mediations.  Over the years, John has practiced in several areas of law, including medical malpractice, automobile accidents, serious injury cases, broker liability cases, employment wrongful termination matters, products liability, fire accident cases, product defect cases, and elder abuse.  He has over 30 years of legal experience.

John is a graduate of UCLA and Pepperdine Law School and holds a master’s degree in history from California State University Los Angeles.   John enjoys playing and coaching soccer, running, surfing, reading, practicing Spanish, learning guitar, traveling, and spending time with his family.
